Henderson is located in Clark County. It is a few miles from Las Vegas and its proximity to Vegas makes it a perfect destination to travel and explore. History of Henderson

In the 1940s during the WWII, the township of Henderson was laid out with the establishment of the Basic Magnesium Plant. Soon, the city became the major supplier of Magnesium in the US. In 1947, Magnesium was no longer needed, thus the future of the city was uncertain. On 16th April, 1953, Henderson was officially formed as the City of Henderson, with the help of local industry. The city was named in honor of Senator Charles B. Henderson. It was the fastest growing cities in the United States from 1990 to 1998. The city started to flourish rapidly. Today, Henderson is the second largest city in Nevada. The city is home to many casino resorts, shopping spots, restaurants, outdoor activities and world-class attractions offering people a variety of options for leisure time.
